Product Description

WORMIVED is an injectable endectocide formulated with Ivermectin, a macrocyclic lactone effective against a broad range of internal and external parasites. It is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal roundworm and lungworm infections, lice, oestriasis (Oestrus ovis nasal infestation), and scabies (mange mites) in cattle, calves, sheep, goats, and pigs. Ivermectin acts by enhancing chloride-channel activity in parasite nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the susceptible parasite.

Description

Indications — When to Administer WORMIVED:

  • Diagnosed or suspected gastrointestinal roundworm or lungworm infection.
  • Lice infestation identified on the animal.
  • Signs of scabies/mange (itching, hair loss, crusted skin).
  • Suspected oestriasis in sheep or goats (head-shaking, nasal discharge, sneezing).
  • As part of a routine, veterinarian-guided parasite control program.
