Product Description

OXYTETVED is an injectable broad-spectrum antibiotic formulated with Oxytetracycline, a tetracycline that binds to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis, producing a bacteriostatic effect. OXYTETVED is indicated for arthritis and gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive micro-organisms, including Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Chlamydia spp., E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., Rickettsia spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., and Streptococcus spp., in calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.

Description

Indications — When to Administer OXYTETVED:

  • Bacterial arthritis caused by a susceptible organism.
  • Gastrointestinal infections, including bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli or Salmonella spp.
  • Respiratory tract infections caused by Pasteurella spp., Mycoplasma spp., or other susceptible organisms.
  • Confirmed or suspected infection with an oxytetracycline-sensitive organism, as directed by a veterinarian.
