VED AMPICOL

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Ved Ampicol is a dual-action veterinary antibiotic combining Ampicillin and Colistin for the treatment of bacterial infections in livestock, poultry, and swine. Ampicillin delivers broad-spectrum bactericidal coverage against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, while Colistin reinforces action against resistant gram-negative pathogens — making it a reliable choice for enteric, septicaemic, and respiratory bacterial infections.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Effective for the treatment of bacterial enteritis and necrotic enteritis, reducing gut inflammation and associated mortality
  • Active against septicaemia and systemic infections caused by Ampicillin and Colistin-sensitive organisms
  • Proven efficacy against pneumonia, diarrhoea, and scours in calves and lambs
  • Ampicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, providing broad-spectrum bactericidal coverage
  • Colistin disrupts bacterial cell membranes, reinforcing efficacy against resistant gram-negative pathogens
