GENTAVED

Product Description

GENTAVED is a broad-spectrum injectable antibiotic formulated with Gentamicin Sulfate, an aminoglycoside that binds to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and disrupts protein synthesis, producing a rapid bactericidal effect. GENTAVED is primarily active against Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, and Serratia spp., and also shows activity against the Gram-positive pathogen Staphylococcus. It is used in livestock, poultry, and swine for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, including septicemia and infections of the respiratory and urinary tract, particularly where resistance to other antibiotics is suspected.

Key Benefits

  • Broad-spectrum, fast-acting bactericidal activity, particularly effective against difficult-to-treat Gram-negative organisms.
  • Effective against Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp., E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, and Serratia spp.
  • Also active against the Gram-positive pathogen Staphylococcus.
  • Useful for severe or resistant bacterial infections where other, less toxic antibiotics have proven ineffective.
