Product Description

Vedermee is a topical, broad-spectrum ectoparasiticide formulated with Cypermethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, for the control of external parasites in livestock, poultry, and swine. It acts on the parasite’s nervous system on contact, disrupting nerve signal transmission to cause rapid paralysis and death.

Vedermee is effective against ticks, mange and scab mites, lice, and biting and nuisance flies, and also acts against parasitic fly larvae, helping prevent and manage cutaneous myiasis (fly strike) in affected animals. As with all synthetic pyrethroids, Vedermee is intended for topical use only and has no activity against internal parasites.

Description

Indications — When to Use Vedermee:

  • Visible tick infestation on the animal or in the surrounding housing environment.
  • Signs of mange or scab mite infestation, such as itching, hair or feather loss, or crusted/scabby skin.
  • Lice infestation identified on the animal.
  • Heavy biting or nuisance fly pressure around animals, housing, or bedding.
  • Presence of fly eggs or larvae (maggots) on wounds, soiled wool, or skin, to prevent fly strike.
  • As part of a routine external parasite control program, particularly during high tick or fly season.
