When to Administer
Methionine is very important for the health and productivity of birds.
It participates in various metabolic pathways, including the transmethylation reaction (homocysteine metabolism), where amino acids are metabolized to form energy.
Deficiency of this limiting amino acid leads to a drop in egg production and reduced egg size, retarded growth, immunosuppression, and reduced muscle mass and body fat.
